About

Being a writer is a great thing for a chronically nosy (but inherently shy) person. I'd much rather listen to other people than talk about myself.

I have an M.A. in English from the University of New Mexico and M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Along with freelance writing, I've been a content writer for digital health startups, contributing editor at the long-gone but still-missed Teen People, an advice columnist for Teen (best gig ever), and helped with casting MTV’s award-winning documentary series,"True Life."

For fun, I've also served as a fiction reader for Puerto del Sol, an editorial assistant for Ploughshares, and most recently, read fiction and non-fiction submissions for Tin House.

Home is Portland, Ore., where I live with my family, which includes a small dog with a big personality, two cats, and a huggable pony.

And last, but definitely not least, my first novel, LIBBY LOST AND FOUND, will be out 10.15.24.
